 Frequently Asked Questions (M.Sc. Research Ethics Hybrid Program 2026/2027)
   1. How is the offline component structured?  (Is it a block contact session, or a weekend classes, or semester-wise campus visits?)  
  • The offline component is structured for semester-wise campus visits (block) at the end of each semester and it encompasses the exam and internship
    2.  What is the duration and frequency of mandatory on-campus sessions in Mangalore?
  • The duration and frequency of mandatory on-campus sessions is fixed at 15 days per semester, the details of such on-campus sessions will be communicated via email accordingly.
    3. Whether the offline sessions can be planned well in advance for working professionals?
  • Sessions are preplanned and the timetable will be shared with the students to help them arrange their logistics
    4. What is the typical weekly time commitment expected for online classes and assignments?
  • Per week 1.5 hours would be learnings through recorded session, 1.5 hours of synchronous teaching and additional 1.5-hour troubleshooting session for recap (However, the weekly class is designed for self-paced learning. Participants can complete as per their speed/commitment)
    5. What is the attendance requirement for both online and offline components?
  • 75% is the mandatory requirement for both online and offline components
    6. Examinations will be conducted online or require physical presence on campus?
  • Exams will require physical presence on campus
    7. Is the course a sponsored or funded program?
  • The course is an in-house program and will require self-funding. In future if we do receive any funding or sponsorship, it will be published on the Centre’s website. We encourage to keep visiting the site.
    8. What is the duration of the course?
  • The duration for the course is 2 years. However, the completion is dependent on the student project completion and defense.
    9. What is the course fee?
  • The Application fee for the course is INR 2000, Course fee for the first year is INR 75,000 and the second year is INR 75,000. Totalling INR 1,50,000. Excluding application, exams and convocation fees (all will be communicated in due course).
